Destec manufactures the Desflex Compact Flange to Type Approved status, meaning the flange design as a whole, rather than an individual batch or project order, has been assessed and approved by the relevant approving body. This gives operators confidence that every flange manufactured to the approved design will meet the same standard, without needing to commission a fresh design review for each new project the flange is specified on. Type Approval sits alongside the flange's ASME VIII Div 1 and Div 2 compliance and its passed API fire test, giving a documented chain of verification from code compliance through to fire safety performance.
