Stainless flanges retain the same up to 88 percent weight saving over an equivalent ANSI flange, along with the fatigue performance and leak tightness benefits that run through the entire Desflex range regardless of material. The flanges can be matched with stainless or higher alloy seal rings from Destec's D and RD range depending on the specific process fluid and temperature involved, giving a complete connection built to a consistent corrosion resistance specification. Stainless steel Desflex flanges suit food, pharmaceutical, chemical and general process applications where corrosion resistance is a requirement but the more extreme conditions calling for duplex or super duplex steel are not present.
