Remote Operated Subsea Pipe Connectors

Destec's GSB connectors are built around remote operation from the outset, with guidance and pull-in systems, API torque receptacles and ROV compatible seal replacement all designed into the standard unit. Drive to the single bolt can be manual, air, hydraulic or electric, giving flexibility on how the connection is made depending on the tooling available on site. A soft landing cylinder function protects the connector during final make-up, and full limit and safety controls are built in to manage the operation remotely. The result is a pipe connector that can be installed, tested and maintained without diver intervention throughout its service life.
