Where a pipeline has a genuine misalignment issue rather than a small angular tolerance, Destec supplies the Desalign Misalignment Ball Flange connector, which mates directly to a standard Desflex compact flange and also functions as a swivel joint in its own right. The assembly is rated to either 1500lb or 900lb ANSI depending on the size selected, is piggable in both directions for inspection and cleaning purposes, and is sealed at the bore using Destec's own sealing technology rather than a bolted flange gasket. Sizes run from 4 inch to 24 inch, with a full table of Desflex flange size, ball seal size and ball swivel assembly reference available for both the 1500lb and 900lb rated ranges.
