Destec's standard G-Range seal ring is an all-metal design, so the connection can be used at high temperatures with the maximum service temperature limited only by the material selected for the connector rather than the seal design itself. Materials range from carbon and alloy steels through to nickel-based alloys for the most demanding thermal duties, with seal rings coated in PTFE, molybdenum disulphide or graphite depending on the application. This makes the G-Range connector a practical choice for high temperature process lines where a standard gasketed flange joint would need frequent maintenance or re-torquing.
