Destec supplies seal rings specifically engineered for high pressure static sealing duties, where the design principle of the modified cone ring works in the operator's favour: the higher the pressure, the more attractive the sealing design becomes, since internal pressure intensifies the sealing action rather than working against it. This makes the seal ring particularly well suited to high pressure process lines, production manifolds and pipeline connections where a conventional compressible gasket would struggle to maintain integrity as pressure rises. The all-metal construction gives the ring the strength needed to handle high pressure duties without deforming permanently, and the same ring can be dismantled and reused repeatedly without losing its sealing performance. Materials for high pressure duties range from carbon and alloy steels through to Inconel, selected according to the pressure rating and the process fluid involved, with sizes available from 10mm up to 2150mm to suit everything from small high pressure fittings through to large diameter high pressure vessel closures.
