Spiroll has supplied a Vortex Extruder to RegionStroy, a leading hollowcore producer in Kazakhstan. Having designed, supplied and commissioned RegionStroy’s hollowcore production plant, which was completed in 2014, Spiroll was the first name which came to mind when the company was looking to expand its operation.
The original turnkey package included factory design, supply of production machinery including a Universal Extruder, Crosscut Saw and Bed Cleaner, prestressing equipment and accessories. Spiroll also commissioned the machinery and provided comprehensive training.
Kazakhstan’s precast concrete industry is developing at a rapid pace which has led to RegionStroy doubling its production capacity by installing another two 100 m casting beds and investing in Spiroll’s Vortex Extruder.
The purchase of the Vortex Extruder will enhance RegionStroy’s production of elements for precast housing construction, for use in the country’s affordable housing program. Commissioning of the new Vortex Extruder was recently carried out by Spiroll engineers.
The high frequency vibration of the Vortex results in higher compaction of the concrete. Using less raw material the Vortex reduces the cost of hollowcore production and produces a lighter self-weight to deliver a more efficient slab.
