Shaw Hydraulics has expanded its bolting and pipework offer with the launch of the Enerpac Equalizer™ Secure-Grip flange tooling range, giving maintenance teams a safer and more controlled way to open stubborn flange joints in refineries, power generation, marine, and general industrial settings.

Built around Enerpac’s expanding-collet Secure-Grip concept, the tools lock directly into the flange bolt hole to keep separation forces centred and even—reducing slip risk and helping maintain gasket faces during maintenance. The line includes compact mechanical spreaders for tight spaces, hydraulic spreaders for higher outputs, and in-line hydraulic models for the largest flanges, covering typical plant standards including ANSI, DIN, SPO, ASME, API, and BS. In the SG-Series, models deliver spreading capacities from 37–150 kN (up to 115 mm travel) and up to 180–250 kN (to 120 mm travel) on the largest in-line tools, with hydraulic units operating at 700 bar.

For planners, that means predictable, repeatable separation without prying or wedges—just controlled force, applied where it’s needed. Each kit is supplied with collets sized to common bolt-hole diameters plus essential accessories, and is designed to be used in pairs to maintain parallel separation across the joint.
