Wind Turbines - Hydraulic Jacking & Flat Jacks - Lifting and Levelling Project 1st April 2014

Hydra-Capsule have recently completed a major repair and remedial synchronised jacking operations for 7 number wind tubines across the United Kingdom. The project involved working main contractor and consultancy engineers due to the high-risk structure(s). Hydra Capsule were appointed to design, consult, manufacture and install 360 number hydraulic and grout flat jacks, which were jacked synchronously lifted from approx 26 to 45mm (tilt error), and levelled within 2mm across 30 to 80 number jacks at 7 number turbines (ranging from 245 tonnes to 350 tonnes). The complete system was individually and manually controlled by using precise load, movement and tilt sensor(s) monitoring system.
