DWS Engineering is a precision CNC machining and subcontract engineering business based in Crewkerne, Somerset. We make parts that need to fit, work and last, for customers right across the UK.

Our customers come from all corners of the engineering world. Historic vehicle restoration, heritage railways, oil and gas, marine, automotive, agricultural engineering and research and development all send work our way. Some jobs are a single prototype. Some are a replacement for a part nobody has made in decades. Others are full batch production runs. Every one gets the same care.

We pair modern CNC technology with proper engineering experience. That covers CNC milling, sliding head turning, fixed head turning, vertical turning, fabrication, welding, grinding and honing. One supplier for the lot means fewer hand-offs, fewer delays and fewer things going wrong in between.

No drawing? Not a problem. We work from drawings, CAD models or reverse-engineered samples. Bring us a worn-out original and we will measure it up, work out what it should be and machine it to spec. That is often the difference between a project stalling and a machine running again.

What we care about is simple. Accurate, reliable components. Responsive service. Dependable delivery. Ask a question and you get an answer. We give you a date and we hit it. Quality is guaranteed, and we do not treat that as a slogan.

Restoration work is a big part of what we do, and it takes patience. Old vehicles and heritage railway kit rarely come with tidy paperwork. Tolerances have to be right and the finish has to suit the machine. We understand that, because it is the kind of work we like.
