826M40 steel

826M40 is a 2.5% nickel chromium molybdenum high tensile steel. 826M40 is usually supplied hardened and tempered to either 'V' or 'W' condition. 826M40 is suitable for applications which require higher tensile and yield strenght that 817M40 or 826M31 specifications. 826M40 round bar is available from stock. When required 826M40 can be induction or flame hardened. 826M40 is also suitable for nitriding.
