What is the maximum speed of a linear guide belt drive actuator?

10-11-2021

When choosing a linear module, you will need to consider speed as well as accuracy, the maximum stroke and maximum load. Driven by a steel wire belt, the CCM belt driven linear rail we can offer is built specifically for high speed and low noise. Currently with a pitch range from 54mm to 190mm, the maximum speed (without load) is 10 m/s, depending on the type of stepper or servo motor used. How do I calculate the speed? The actual speed will be affected by factors such as payload and stroke length, but an example calculation would be: A W40-06 linear rail with a pitch of 75mm, using a servo motor with a rated speed of 3000rpm/min – the maximum speed is 75mm x 3000rpm/min/60=3.75m/s. 3.75m/s is the ideal speed.
