Radiographic inspection uses x-rays in order to produce an image of a casting, or part of a casting on a film, which can show the thickness variations of the casting and as a result, any internal discontinuities including porosity, inclusions and shrinkage.
Here at Maycast-Nokes, we have a NADCAP approved radiographic facility which incorporates two X-Ray cells, one which houses a 320 Kv x-ray unit, and the other housing a 200 Kv X-Ray unit, this, along with our fully automatic film processing, computer generated radiographic techniques and subsequent interpretation of radiographs, fully reported, by highly experienced and fully qualified technicians, can allow complete control over our customers radiographic needs and requirements.
