Nuclear Energy has an ever increasing role to play in supplying power to the grid and also in powering Naval vessels. With the push for a greener and more reliable energy source, the UK is investing heavily in new nuclear technology. At the same time, the existing fleet of ageing reactors are being asked to exceed their design life and in order to keep these safe there is a greater emphasis on providing additional safety circuits. Typically, the nuclear industry uses a combination of smart and purely analogue instrumentation to give greater reliability and hence safety to implemented systems. We have been supplying instrumentation into the nuclear sector for well over 50 years now, and the UK and other countries rely on our SIL rated equipment to increase safety in their panels and control loops. We support the industry by designing and supplying Process Instrumentation, Detectors and Sensors for all types of commercial and military reactors.
