X3 1.6mm Tire Pressure Mapping System from XSensor

XSensor's X3 1.6mm Tire Pressure Mapping System is built for static tire footprint profiling, giving designers and engineers a detailed way to study how motorcycle, car and LCV tires interact with the road surface. At the heart of the system sits a high-resolution sensor with 65,536 individual sensels arranged in a 256x256 matrix at 1.6mm pitch, covering an active area of 16 inches by 16 inches (406mm x 406mm). That resolution produces highly detailed 2D and 3D images alongside AVI files and numeric data, all exportable via XSensor's Pro V8 software. While tire research is the primary application, the same high-resolution capability has found use across a range of other footprint and contact-pressure studies.
