Interface Solutions For Growing Green Energy

Two very different green energy challenges show how adaptable Interface's measurement solutions need to be. For a customer wanting to improve windmill performance, a T2 Ultra Precision Shaft Style Rotary Torque Transducer coupled between the blade propeller and generator sent torque data to the customer's DAQ, letting them determine the optimal blade pitch for more power with less bearing stress. Separately, a solar panel manufacturer needed to test panel strength and durability against storm debris travelling up to 50 mph. Interface's answer was four SSB Load Beam Load Cells fitted to the bottom corners of the panel, wired through a JB104SS Junction Box to a WTS-AM-1E Wireless Strain Bridge Transmitter Module, letting the customer run drop tests, capture maximum load capacity, and record results wirelessly via the WTS-BS-4 Wireless Base Station.
