High Accuracy Jet Engine Thrust Tests

A static jet engine thrust test needs to accurately determine thrust, burn time, chamber pressure and other parameters, providing propellant chemists and engineers with data they can actually trust from ignition through to burn-out. Interface's 1000 High Capacity Fatigue-Rated LowProfile Load Cell is installed directly into the static test stand, absorbing thrust force and outputting a signal to the 9330 High Speed Data Logging Indicator, with results measured and recorded on the customer's laptop using the included BlueDAQ software. As the engine produces full thrust, the load cell's signal is collected to create a complete thrust curve. The load cell's excellent repeatability means engineers can trust the acquired data and also reduce the time needed between successive tests, making the whole thrust testing programme more efficient.
