Enhancing dam safety and efficiency

Dam spillway gates rely on large motors to open and close correctly, and any developing fault in those motors needs catching before it becomes a safety issue. Interface's TSCF C-Face Flange Torque Transducer is installed directly onto the motors controlling gate movement, measuring torque continuously and detecting any problems in real time as the gates open and close. Results are read and monitored using the 9850 Torque Transducer and Load Cell Indicator, giving dam operators a direct, ongoing check on whether the spillway gate motors are functioning properly and efficiently, rather than relying on periodic manual inspection to catch a problem after it has already started.
