Crude Oil Weighing

Once crude oil has been extracted and refined to remove sediments and other impurities, it needs to be accurately weighed before it can be redistributed, and doing that at the barrel scale calls for an industrial weighing system rather than a standard scale. Interface's solution secures four SSB Sealed Beam Load Cells at the bottom of a metal platform, with barrels of crude oil placed directly on top for weighing. All four SSBs are wired together through a JB104SS Junction Box, connected in turn to a 480 Bidirectional Weight Indicator, which combines the readings from all four load cells into a single accurate weight result. This industrial weighing system gave the customer reliable, accurate weight data for their barrels of crude oil, ready for the next stage of distribution.
