More big news from Flintec in 2025.

We’re delighted to announce the opening of our new facility in Sri Lanka, dedicated to the manufacture of strain gauges.

Flintec is one of a select few in the weight and force measurement industry to produce its own strain gauges. This gives us complete control over production and ensures the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

The process is highly specialised, demanding precise control of temperature, humidity and cleanliness. A key feature of the new building is a state-of-the-art ISO 6 cleanroom covering 400 sqm (4,300 sq ft).

The purpose-built facility, located next to our existing load cell production building, spans 2,500 sqm (27,000 sq ft).

Sustainability was central to the project. We have increased manufacturing output while cutting our environmental impact, achieving a 50% reduction in CO₂ emissions. The site generates its own power via solar and uses high-efficiency equipment throughout.

Once fully operational, the facility will significantly increase our production capacity, with room for future expansion.
