Flintec has reached an important milestone in its sustainability journey, with ISO 50001:2018 certification awarded to our manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka. This internationally recognised standard reflects our ongoing commitment to improving energy efficiency and reducing our environmental impact.

Certification followed the rollout of a structured energy management programme across our operations. With support from international partners, we invested in specialist training, strengthened internal capabilities, and implemented practical tools and frameworks to deliver measurable results.

Key initiatives included establishing dedicated energy teams, developing robust energy policies, and introducing a range of no- and low-cost energy-saving measures. These were complemented by targeted investments in efficient power generation technologies, creating a more sustainable and resilient operation.

Our facilities were formally audited by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution in early 2025, leading to certification.

This achievement underlines Flintec’s long-term focus on responsible business practices and sustainable manufacturing, giving customers further confidence in our values in action.
