Rigid U-PVC
Rigid U-PVC (Un-plasticized Poly Vinyl Chloride) has limited mechanical properties but this does not stop its wide spread use in the building trade and industry. U-PVC may not offer excellent wear resistance or good sliding properties but it does have a lot to offer the builder or designer. U-PVC is considered to be "self extinguishing". U-PVC is a cost-effective utility material that can be easily cut and shaped using conventional tools and machines found in most woodworking / engineering workshops. Unlike many plastics U-PVC can be glued to itself and numerous other materials using commercially available adhesives. U-PVC can be readily moulded and thermoformed. Strong watertight joints can be made using hot air welding techniques.Visit the Engineering & Design Plastics Ltd website for more information on Rigid U-PVC
