The advantage of using Internal Snap Rings over a standard DIN 472 Internal Circlip, is that it offers a smooth all round continuous form without the protrusion of Internal lugs, which could interfere with other parts within the application. These can be inserted / removed by simply using pliers and a flat screwdriver.
